[14:06:13] <Pilot> Not yet. We don't have clearance.
[14:07:07] Co-Pilot@Radio:TRU54 takeing off LVA runway 36L. IFR to Francis Intl.[14:08:26] Weather report: Clear skys.
[14:08:30] ATC@Radio: TRU54 ascend to flight level Three-five-zero
[14:09:05] Co-Pilot@Radio:TRU54 Climbing to flight level Three-five-zero
[14:09:04] <Co-Pilot> nice flight so far.
[14:09:07] <Pilot> yup.
[14:09:33] <Co-Pilot> Whats this?

[14:10:36] ATC@Radio:TRU54 what is your emergency?
[14:10:45] ATC@Radio:TRU54 what is your emergency?
[14:10:55] Pilot@Radio:Possible fuel leak. We have no more in the tank.
[14:10:55] ATC@Radio:TRU54, Report Your Position
[14:10:35] Pilot@Radio:Can you say again?
[14:11:56] ATC@Radio:TRU54, Report Your Position
[14:11:22] Pilot@Radio:Far off the coast of SF
[14:11:28] ATC@Radio:Roger
[14:11:38] ATC@Radio:TRU54, how many souls on board?
[14:11:44] Pilot@Radio:We have 153.
[14:12:01] ATC@Radio:TRU54 turn heading two-seven-zero
[14:12:18] Pilot@Radio:TRU54 turning...
[14:12:19] Loud boom
[14:12:31] <Co-Pilot> Whoa!!
[14:12:37] <Pilot> Rudder!
[14:12:40] Sound of metal hitting water
What caused it to dive so quickly?
What was the cause of the fuel leak?
Just some questions to be answered.
Please note, this is not to say that Truster Airways is a bad airline because I am using their call-sign; I just had that Call-sign when I was in Truster at the time I wrote this.

  • Possible fuel leak
  • Rudder Came off
  • Plane wasn't controllable, and that's why it ditched unsuccessfully

Nahhh. It wasnt any of those. I hooked it up to a RC reciver and controlled it with a remote controll. Sorry if you were onboard when it crashed, I didnt have enough controll. :(

From the data we have; the plane was controllable the whole time. We (the investigation team) think that when the pilot yelled "Rudder" the plane was spiraling down. But they did not have enough time to stabilize. one of the planes engines where found further away from the main crash site and the vertical stabilizer was found intact in spite the force of the crash. We suspect the engine blew off the plane in flight causing major damage to the wing which caused the plane to lose control.
We continue to investigate. Meanwhile you guys can think up more reasons the plane crashed while we find the cause of the fuel leak and the engine falling off.

The investigation team doesn't think it is pilot error. It seems like they did their best to save the plane.  ;)

Yup. We want to avoid all kinds airplane crashes. But I could make another one about a Dodo exploding on final to a seaside airport (This actually happened to me).
