Looking for Islands
« on: February 09, 2011, 03:47:36 pm »
Hello SAA pilots,

Our server is on its way to be opened. But before we can do that some things need to be done. I am doing my part, and I would also like you guys to help me out a little. Our server has enough main airports, but our server doesn't have any Islands airports. Islands play big role in the server, as they make server more fun, and realistic. If any of you want to try to map couple of Islands, I would gladly appreciate them, and I might reward you guys in-game somehow..

For those of you who want to try mapping the islands make sure airport has:
  • *At least 1 Runway (Click here for runway info)
  •   Heading numbers on the runway(Click here for info)
  • *At least 1 Airport building
  •   Some houses around the airport
Make island how ever you want just make sure it has a runway, and one main airport building.

Good Luck :)

Thanks

Gleb

D:\MTA San Andreas\server\mods\deathmatch\resources

Find your MTA Folder, go there , and in Resources, there will be folders with your own made map

Hi,

Gleb, when you add islands, please don't let them be so far in sea like in PH.

Just make them close enough ;)

Thx

Well, um... I have no mapping skill  :-\

BUT! I have an idea/plans for an island.

PD is Police Department
FD is Fire Department

Orange= Road
Yellow= Fence
Grey= Island bondery
Red= Taxi lines
Light Orange= Jet way things

Other notes: Lights on center line and edges.

Maybe I need a tutorial on how to map...

If you make the map you can have the full credit for making the map. Just mention that I designed it. And the map file I have would be kind of useless  :-\
Maybe I will give another go at making a island...

Ive finished an island called New York Island. There is 3 Sky Scrapers (Two of which is the Twin Towers) and there is 3 building sites. The airports takes up most of the island. This island isn't to far away from land around 1min flying time. I will post a video now. I was making a test island and was going to continue with the VMA and TechTi but got to into this island.

Ok ive deleted NYC and made it againg. The new one is much better, there is a car park, main airport building, an ambulance and a firetruck, ATC tower, Many Skyscrapers, and lots of parking for airplanes.
